BLS CLE: Main Street CARES: Understanding Loans, Forgiveness and Tax Benefits for Businesses

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in unprecedented economic disaster on businesses worldwide. In response, the U.S. government passed the CARES Act to provide substantial economic stimulus programs of over $2 trillion to help its economy. Under the CARES Act, the government established programs like the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), the Main Street Lending Program, and others for both small and mid-sized businesses. This course will discuss each of the loan programs, including eligibility, loan amounts, forgiveness requirements, and practical considerations of these loan programs, as well as some tax benefits available under the CARES Act.
