DESCRIPTION

The Florida Bar Criminal Law Section is proud to present this FREE  Zoom CLE on the changing federal criminal justice landscape in the wake of the novel coronavirus and COVID-19.  Our expert moderator and panel will engage in a wide-ranging discussion on a variety of COVID-19-related topics including:  Challenges in grand jury investigations and how the indictment process will proceed once grand juries are reconvened; the handling of in-custody and out-of-custody initial appearances, pleas, and sentencing; the Bureau of Prisons and jail issues, generally; compassionate release; and maintaining client relationships and a law office during a pandemic.  Our experts will also take questions on issues of particular concern to you.
