DESCRIPTION:In-person CLE returns to Fall Meeting \nThe Florida Bar is offering in-person continuing legal education during its Fall Meeting for the first time in many years\, giving attorneys attending the meeting — or those in Central Florida area — an opportunity to earn CLE while participating in Bar activities. Among the offerings is “The Code of Kryptonite: Ethical Limitations on Lawyers’ Superpowers\,” presented by attorney Stuart Teicher on September 17 in Orlando at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld from 9 a.m.to 12:30 p.m. \nUsing superheroes and their powers\, Teicher will examine the dangers of lawyer power and the ethical restraints governing attorneys. \nThe four-hour seminar will address which decisions belong to clients and which belong to lawyers under Rule 4-1.2\, when withdrawal from representation is required under Rule 4-1.16\, and how lawyers should apply the independent judgment standard of Rule 4-2.1 when clients do not want to hear honest advice. \nThe seminar is approved for four hours of general CLE credit and four hours of ethics credit. \n Register Here
