PowerPoint as a Virtual Background in Zoom
Zoom regularly provides new versions of the Zoom desktop client and mobile app to release new features and fix bugs. We recommend upgrading to the latest version when it is available to receive the best video and audio experience. You can check which version you’re currently running for video conferencing here.
Step One Log in to your Zoom account.
Step Two Log in to your Zoom meeting.
Step Three Select the Share Screen button.
Step Four: Go to Advanced tab on the top center of the display box as circled in the picture below:
Step Five: Select PowerPoint as a Virtual Background. Make sure to also select Share Sound if you PowerPoint has audio components you want everyone in the Zoom meeting to hear.
Step Six: Open the PowerPoint Presentation you would like to serve as your virtual background from your computer. (Once you open your PowerPoint Presentation it might take a minute to load depending on the size of the PowerPoint presentation.)
Step Seven: Once your PowerPoint presentation is open; you can adjust your picture by selecting and moving it. You also have the option of changing the size of your picture.
