Bar Warns of Fraudulent Emails Spoofing Senior Bar Staff
The Florida Bar News December 2, 2025

Florida Bar members are reporting a new round of fraudulent emails that falsely appear to come from Executive Director Joshua E. Doyle and other senior Bar staff.
The scam emails reference a vague “matter” involving the recipient’s firm and ask members to confirm a phone number or other personal information. They often use a sender address not associated with The Florida Bar, including “.sendcrp.com,” such as:
From: Joshua E. Doyle joshua.doyle@floridabar.org.sendcrp.com
“I need to confirm that you’re the right contact person before this advances further…Please reply…to confirm the best phone number for us to contact you.”
These messages do not originate from The Florida Bar and should be deleted immediately.
Other state bar associations have reported similar spoofing attempts targeting their members. The Bar is actively monitoring the situation and working with partners to mitigate the attacks.
The Bar stresses it will never ask members to verify contact information, passwords, or financial details through unsolicited emails.
