The Florida Bar News October 13, 2021

Christine Bilbrey, the Bar’s senior practice management advisor and “The Florida Bar’s LegalFuel Podcast” host, has been named director of LegalFuel: the Practice Resource Center of The Florida Bar.

“We are all fortunate Christine has accepted this leadership position within the Programs Division,” said Programs Division Director Terry Hill. “I am excited to have Christine join the management and leadership team of not only the Programs Division, but also The Florida Bar.”

Bilbrey said she’s excited about her new role, but is quick to stress that it’s a team effort.

“I am proud to lead the team that makes the Practice Resource Center so successful, which includes Practice Management Advisor Karla Eckardt, Program Specialist Debbie Ferrell, Lawyer Referral Specialist Nicole Murphy, and our eight LRS clerks,” she said.

In her new position, Bilbrey will oversee all things related to LegalFuel, including the Lawyer Referral Service, Lawyers Advising Lawyers, the Standing Committee on Mental Health and Wellness of Florida Lawyers, and the Standing Committee on Technology, to name a few, Hill said.

Rebranded in 2018, LegalFuel offers a vast trove of free documents, CLE, live webinars, and other resources to help lawyers deal with all aspects of managing a modern practice, from how to establish an office to trust accounting, cyber security, insurance, and health and wellness.

Bilbrey says she hopes to build on LegalFuel’s success.

“I want to continue to add resources that will be helpful to our members to run the business side of their practices, and I want to expand our Lawyer Referral Service because it’s good for the Bar, it’s good for our members, and it’s good for the public to be able to find attorneys,” she said.

Bilbrey holds a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in legal administration. She previously served as the principal firm administrator at area law firms in her hometown of Pensacola. Prior to joining the Bar, Bilbrey was a certified HR classroom and virtual trainer for the world’s largest credit union.

She and her husband, Ross, are the proud parents of Claire, Chloe, and Cate, two Florida State University graduates and an FSU sophomore, respectively.
